Independance Day 2010

We love the 4th of July, I mean, how can you not? Fireworks, grilling out, friends, parades, etc... It's great! At least, normally it's great! This year though was a little less great considering it rained the WHOLE day, ok it stopped for about an hour or two and thankfully those were the hours of a local community parade at Collins Park and the big Go Fourth Celebration at our local Lake Shawnee! It's always a good show. There is just something so fun about being out in a field surrounded by fireworks anywhere you look! It's amazing to see how beautiful it all is! And even more so to see it all in the eyes of a 2 year old! Lexi has been a little scared of them but this year she is a little easier to reason with and now she's excited about them. She still won't hold a sparkler, but now we have a goal for next year. Now she's just in what I like to call the "Awe" stage. She just claps and says "wow!" everytime she sees a pretty firework! It was fun! So, here are some pictures from our day!
